We are proud to announce the appointment of Larry Abolaji as our new Vice President of Lending.
With over 17 years of experience in the financial industry, Larry Abolaji brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. His most recent position was Vice President of Consumer Lending at Rogue Credit Union, and prior to that, he served as Vice President of Loan Servicing and Asset Recovery at CFCU Community Credit Union in Ithaca, New York. Abolaji also successfully managed Corporate Trust operations at BNY Mellon in East Syracuse, New York from 2006 to 2015.
Abolaji holds a degree in Human Resource Management from Lagos State University in Nigeria, where he honed his skills and gained a comprehensive understanding of financial markets. Committed to professional development, Abolaji received a graduate-level certificate in Leadership from Michigan State University and holds a Project Management Certification from DePaul University. He also actively participated in the Leadership Development Program with the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina. Additionally, Abolaji served on the boards of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce and the GO Foundation, both of which are located in Ithaca, New York.
In his new position as Vice President of Lending, Larry Abolaji will play a pivotal role in driving impactful changes and elevating our work as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Minority Depository Institution (MDI). Abolaji's strategic vision and expertise will guide efforts to expand access to credit, particularly for underserved and marginalized communities.
