I wanted to take a minute and update you on some exciting new things happening at our credit union. First, please come see us at our new Akers location (614 S. Akers). This flagship branch is the essence of everything we stand for. It is both visually and personally engaging. You’d be hard pressed to find a more beautiful, sustainable piece of architecture in the entire valley. Rather than just building something new, we built something amazingly better, something we can all be proud of… so come see us.

With the recent closing of our Tulare branch on Prosperity, our new Tulare branch is now open at a wonderful location on Mooney and Bardsley, next to the new Starbucks (2083 E Bardsley Ave).

And after nearly 40 years, we will be saying goodbye to our Whitendale office on Friday, July 16th. It is a bitter-sweet moment, but a necessary one. Although the branch will be closed, the drive thru ATM will remain operational for your convenience. As we look to continue to be better stewards of our resources and better servants to our members, we will be transitioning to more appropriately-sized locations for our branches. Our first expansion will be to downtown Visalia. Our Center Street branch will be opening on approximately August 9^th. This will be in the old Suncrest Branch just east of the Vintage Press (400 W Center Ave). Our Center branch will have a drive-thru teller, a teller line and plenty of parking. We are really looking forward to opening this historic location.

In the meantime, remember to take advantage of mobile banking and the more than 30,000 ATM’s nationwide that you can access for free. And if you have a Kasasa checking account… you can use any ATM free of charge… yes, any ATM*!

Finally, I just want to take a moment and say thank you to all of our members. For the past five years we have been working extremely hard to build a better, brighter future for our credit union, our community and you! Change can be a challenge, as we’ve all discovered, but in the end those that rise to the challenge are stronger and more resilient than before. Our goals are to be a partner for you, your friends and family, to be the kind of organization you can be proud of, a place that makes you smile every time you visit. As our shirts say, we want to be a freakin’ ray of sunshine in your life.

We will continue to look for ways to better serve our amazing community, whether it’s through better locations, improved products and services, engaging team members, outstanding educational offerings, welcoming your furry friends or by supporting your favorite community organizations.
